Within the framework of the project “Modern Publishing” I would like to actively participate in the open scientific discourse and contribute to the solution of challenges in knowledge and publication systems.
Open science should not only mean that scientific knowledge is made openly accessible, but that this accessibility also supports scientists in their individual work processes and research activities. Not only the “what” but also the “how” is important.
So the question arises to me, for example, how a modern publication workflow can look like that offers users added value from the outset? How can scientists, for example, make ideas and texts an integral part of a discussion or review process in narrow and broad circles that can be defined specifically for this purpose?
Answers to such questions and general challenges, which are based on the enormous changes and potentials in the accessibility of research, should be able to be discussed together in the community in order to promote effective science communication.
Furthermore, I hope for a lively exchange between different movements of openness in order to gain deeper insights into commonalities (and resulting learnings) of Open Science and Open Education approaches.
